Florence students spent a day at the site of the 3-day battle of Gettysburg. toured Mount Vernon, saw George Washington’s grave, the National Archives, and saw the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, and The Bill of Rights. The trip was truly an amazing learning experience & the kids had a great time.











Florence students had a jam-packed day full of fun activities, & we learned a lot from our local DC expert Rafel. They observed the changing of the guard @ the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington Cemetery,the 9/11 Pentagon, Lincoln, Korean War & Iwo Jima Memorials, The White House , The Reflection Pool, & the Washington Monument. #GoFloCats











St. Vincent DePaul is holding their Back to School Program-2023 Shoes, backpacks and school supplies. Helping families in Florence County with their back-to-school needs! Please fill out the following information: Send completed form to St. Vincent de Paul P.O. Box 62 Florence, WI 54121 or drop off at the store during store hours. We would appreciate them ASAP. All students will receive a $40 gift card from the Shoe Dept. Middle & High School students will receive a $50 Wal-Mart gift card towards school supplies. Families with elementary children should come to St. Mary Catholic Church Parish Hall to pick up their backpack and school supplies on Monday, August 21st anytime between 4:30 – 5:30 pm

It is with deep regret at this time that we have been notified of the loss of one of our students. In order to provide students a place to gather and process this unfortunate event, School District Staff and various professionals will be available at the High School from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm on Monday, July 3rd.

Florence Dusters placed 4th in Team Conference & 1st in the Intermediate/Entry level class. Pat Smith coaches the Team that includes MS & HS Students: Colt Atwell, Caleb Baker, Brunnel Honeycutt, Bryce Leffler, Kyler Lukach, Melissa Nacius, Jacob Smith, Kyle Smith, & Bradly Steber
Colt Atwell was Top Gun in Northeast Red Division, 1st Place Team Shooter (team top gun), & 1st Place All-Conference in Intermediate/Entry Level class.
Brunnel Honeycutt was 2nd place Team Shooter
Caleb Baker was 3rd place Team Shooter

The Florence LadyCats hosted a youth volleyball camp for grades 4 through 8. It was a fun-filled 3 days. Pictured here are some of the young ladies of Florence County.


Students in the TROOP (Together Reaching Our Own Potential) Group had fun making tie-dye shirts. All the shirts turned out awesome!







Florence 8th graders celebrated graduation, by heading to Wisconsin Dells to celebrate & enjoy a day at the Kalahari Waterpark. Congratulations!


Students in the TROOP (Together Reaching Our Own Potential) Group had an end-of-the-year celebration. The group prepared and ate a meal, played games, and celebrated the students who will be leaving the TROOP. Everyone in the TROOP had a great year!






The next game (Sectional play) will be played on Tuesday, June 6 in Athens at Athens Tucker Westfall Memorial Field at 10:00 AM against Edgar.
