Mazie, an 8th grade student, is a wonderful example of what it means to be a Bobcat. She is kind, respectful, and considerate of everyone around her. In the classroom, Mazie works hard, asks thoughtful questions, and leads with quiet confidence and grace. Even in challenging situations, she remains patient and positive, showing great maturity. She is accepting of others’ differences and consistently sets a strong example for her peers.
Outside of the classroom, Mazie is also involved in volleyball and basketball, where she continues to demonstrate teamwork and dedication.

The sign celebrating the 2023 State Football Championship is complete and will be placed on the corner of US 2 and Highway 70 on Friday, Oct. 9. Everyone is welcome to stop down to take pictures or simply view it after the Homecoming Parade on Friday. A date in the near future will be announced to get available members of the 2023 team, coaches, and the generous members of our community that played a part in the construction and placement of the sign.

Monday was a special night as our JV and Varsity Ladycat Volleyball teams hosted Parents’ Night! 🏐
Coach Chrisman shared heartfelt words honoring the families whose endless support makes everything possible. To show our gratitude, the team presented our wonderful parents with sweet treats and beautiful flowers. 🧁💐
The night got even sweeter when Varsity swept the Lena Wildcats in three straight sets! Thank you to our amazing parents, fans, and community for making it an unforgettable evening. Go Ladycats! 🐾💙

Clara Murrow is this week’s Student of the Week at Florence Middle and High School. She is in 8th grade and is a strong leader who consistently exemplifies the qualities of our Bobcat Pride matrix. Clara is respectful, responsible, and leads with integrity in everything she does. On the basketball court, she is highly coachable and a supportive, dependable teammate, making her a positive role model both in the classroom and in athletics.
Clara participates in basketball and volleyball. Outside of school she participates in ballet.

Ella DeRoche is a senior at the School District of Florence. She is consistently positive, demonstrates an excellent work ethic, and always strives for excellence. Ella is a positive example for all students and comes to school each day with a smile, ready to learn.
She is actively involved in ballet and softball, as well as Forensics, Torpedoes, Student Council, National Honor Society (NHS), and High IQ.

🥈 2nd Place out of 25 Teams! 🥈
Florence showed up big at the Friendship Tournament at the Just A Game Fieldhouse in the Wisconsin Dells! 🏐🔥
The Bobcats cruised through pool play with a dominant 4-0 run—without dropping a single set—sweeping Rio, Rhinelander, Royall, and Oshkosh North to punch their ticket to the Gold Bracket.
On Saturday, Florence kept the momentum rolling with clutch bracket wins over Auburndale and Wausau West to earn a spot in the Championship match against Wittenberg-Birnamwood.
Juniors Kelsi Chrisman and Miley VanDenHeuvel were for the 30-player All-Tournament Team! 🌟
