Two $500 Forever Young Memorial Scholarships are offered in memory of FHS students Paige Raspor and Isabella Burrows, who are remembered for their love of sports and the arts. These scholarships have been awarded to Kiera Sullivan and Elizabeth LaChapelle. Kiera Sullivan is the daughter of Henry Sullivan and Sarah Western of Florence. She is one of the Class of 2022’s co-salutatorians, with a GPA of 3.99. Her favorite subjects are Art and Spanish. Throughout high school, Kiera participated in a variety of activities including: basketball, track and field, cross country, High-Q, National Honor Society, and TORPEDOS. Kiera has earned a variety of Athletic Scholar Awards, was a finalist in a statewide art competition, and was named 1st Team All-Conference during her junior cross country season, Kiera plans on attending Washington University in St. Louis this fall with a major in Architecture.
Elizabeth LaChapelle is the daughter of Meaghan LaChapelle and (stepdad) Chris Haker of Florence. Lizzy has maintained high grades and been on the honor roll all four years of her high school career. She has participated in TORPEDOs, the FHS service organization, for three years where she volunteered in various projects in the community and school. Elizabeth plans to attend UW-Madison in the fall, majoring in Wildlife Ecology.
