
In the final day of our adventure, some FHS students were up early to see the beautiful sunrise. It was a well deserved relaxing day at the resort pool and beach and in the afternoon some went snorkeling by the reef.









All Students in Grades 3-6:
Forward Testing
Will take place on various days between April 3-18
Each grade level will receive one day of free breakfast and a snack during testing!

Wednesday afternoon, we zip lined, bought school supplies to donate to a local charity, rode public transportation and visited a lookout of the city of Antigua. We are having such a great time!





Students from Florence and Niagara in the TROOP (Together Reaching Our Own Potential) Group painted pottery at Crafters on Central in Florence. Everyone had so much fun and the pottery turned out great. Thank you Crafters on Central for hosting the event!

On Thursday Florence was the big hike up the Pacaya Volcano for Florence Students. Some hiked up and down. Some rented a horse for the ride up. We then roasted marshmallows 😊

Our first full day in Antigua was filled with much activity: great breakfast, walking tour, several churches, a jade museum and store, an artisan market and salsa dance lessons.










School District of Florence County is closed today Wednesday, March 20th, 2024 due to a power outage.

We made it safely to Antigua, Guatemala. It is quite the cultural shock—the trip to our hotel from Guatemala City was quite exciting and filled with much laughter. We are excited and ready to explore.









Florence Diggers Softball Little League close to filling some teams for this season but we are not there yet. If you are interested in signing up it's not to late. Sign up before March 15th!

Dressed in 1950s attire, students in Mrs. Smith's History II class recently attended a suburban block party. With refreshments served by former teacher, Mrs. Gatzow, students mingled and discussed politics, economics, social issues, and the latest technology of the 1050s.











11th grade students will take the ACT on Tuesday March 12, 2024.
Please arrive on time, enjoy your free breakfast, and do your very best! The test will be completed approximately 1:00 pm and you will be released after completion. Free breakfast & snack will be provided.


Do you understand the Electoral College & its role in electing US presidents? Students in Mrs. Smith's American Government class did a simulation on how the popular vote of a state determines the winner of that state's electoral votes. 270+ electoral votes wins the presidency!
