The 2025–2026 school year is almost here, and Florence Schools couldn’t be more excited to welcome students and families back for another amazing year!
Updated bus pickup and drop-off times are now available in Skyward Family Access. If your child needs to be picked up or dropped off somewhere other than your home address, please complete the Permanent Bus Stop Request Form. If your child will not be riding the bus, fill out the Permanent Parent Pickup Form instead. Please note that forms from last year do not carry over — a new form must be submitted for each student and each requested stop. All forms should be submitted by August 8, 2025, so transportation routes can be finalized before the first day of school. Forms can be found at www.myflorence.org under the Transportation tab or directly here: Permanent Transportation Forms.
Families with elementary students are invited to the Elementary Open House on Thursday, August 28, from 2:00–5:30 PM. This event is a great opportunity to meet teachers, see classrooms, drop off school supplies, and connect with community resources. Any prescription medications should be dropped off at the office during the open house.
Elementary Student Drop-Off Reminder: For safety and supervision purposes, please do not drop your elementary student off before 7:45 AM.
The Elementary Supply List can be viewed here: Elementary Supply List.
Florence Middle/High School students and families are also invited to the Parent/Student University on Wednesday, August 27, from 5:30 – 7:00 PM in the High School Auditorium. The event begins with registration assistance from 5:00–5:30 PM, where staff and computers will be available to help families complete the online registration process. Students will also be able to pick up their informational folders and place items in their lockers during this time.
At 5:30 PM, students and parents will hear important updates related to the upcoming school year, followed by guest speaker Mike McGowen at 6:00 PM. Raffles will be held for both students and parents — parents in attendance will receive one raffle ticket, students will receive one ticket, and students attending with a parent or guardian will receive two tickets. Ice cream will be served following the presentation.
Please note: Students must have their online registration and Chromebook policy completed to receive their Chromebook (Chromebooks will be distributed on the first day of school). Families unable to complete this beforehand will have the opportunity to do so at the event.
Middle and High School online registration opens on August 15, with more details coming soon. Families can begin preparing now by reviewing the MS/HS Supply List here: Middle/High School Supply List.
Finally, mark your calendars for two exciting home openers: the first home football game of the season on Thursday, August 21, at 7:00 PM against Newman Catholic, and the first home volleyball game on Thursday, September 4. Let’s pack the stands and show our Bobcat pride as we kick off another great school year!
