Their energy, teamwork, and willingness to give back to the community truly made a difference. Thank you to all of the mill workers who supported our girls by purchasing a meal, and to Billerud for partnering with us to make this fundraiser possible

💦 What an incredible day at Florence Elementary! 💦

Today, our students had the exciting opportunity to welcome Ed Bieber and his partner, known as “Ed the Diver,” to the School District of Florence!

Together, they shared real-life underwater adventures exploring lakes and rivers across Wisconsin, showing students the unique treasures they’ve recovered—from fishing gear and phones to all kinds of unexpected items hiding beneath the surface. Even more importantly, they helped our students understand the importance of protecting our waterways and keeping them clean.

Our Bobcats were fully engaged as they:
🌊 Explored real treasures found underwater
🐟 Learned what’s really beneath the surface of our local lakes and rivers
♻️ Discovered how they can help care for the environment

This was a fun, hands-on learning experience that truly made an impact!

💚💛 A big thank you to our PTO for organizing this fantastic event and bringing this opportunity to our students! We appreciate your continued support in creating memorable learning experiences.

💚💛 Honoring Those Who Served 💛💚

Each year, our students take part in a meaningful tradition—helping prepare the Veteran’s Wall for Memorial Day. They carefully add the names of local veterans who have passed, honoring those laid to rest at Commonwealth, St. Mary’s, Florence, and Woodlawn Cemeteries.

With great attention to detail, students ensure every name is spelled correctly and placed with care. More than just a task, this is a labor of respect and gratitude. Our students take pride in this work, recognizing it as a small but important way to give back to those who gave so much.

We are incredibly proud of their dedication and the respect they show in honoring our community’s veterans. 🇺🇸 #GoFloCats
