St. Vincent de Paul is once again offering its Back-to-School Program to help eligible Florence County families prepare for the upcoming school year. Qualified families may receive assistance with:
👟 $50 Shoe Department gift card for every student
🎒 Backpacks (if needed)
✏️ Elementary school supplies
🛒 Middle & High School students receive a $50 Walmart gift card for school supplies.
📋 Applications are available now and should be submitted as soon as possible.

The 5-day residential experience gave students the chance to:

On Friday, FHS students traveled to Sevilla. They visited the cathedral and the Alcazar (a royal palace that is an example of the Moorish history of Spain.) The students enjoyed a lesson in flamenco dancing before enjoying a show!! They ROCKED the flamenco lessons!

FHS students visited Salamanca on Thursday. The tour included visiting the university and the Old & New Cathedrals. Students had the opportunity to climb the bell tower to enjoy the city’s beautiful view. We ended the day with tapas and a Tuna (musical) show.
Tuesday evening FHS students enjoyed the traditional churros and chocolate—so delicious!
Wednesday we visited the Prado Museum of Art, Retiro park, the Royal Palace and the Almudena Catedral.

FHS students visited the Plaza de Toros in Madrid and learned about the history, tradition and culture of bullfighting. Our next stop was Segovia to see the aquaducts and Alcazar (castle.) The aquaducts in Segovia
Our biggest year yet! The Florence LadyCats hosted their annual summer youth camp on June 8, 9, and 10 at FHS. It was a fantastic turnout learning the fundamentals of Volleyball. The energy in the gym was electric. Future is Bright!!
FHS Spanish students made it to Madrid, Spain. We enjoyed a short walking tour on the capital before visiting Toledo, Spain. Toledo is a medieval town known as the “City of 3 Cultures” for its Christian, Jewish and Muslim history. Before our return to Madrid for a paella dinner, we visited a sword factory. Such a beautiful day full with many new memories!

A huge thank you to the Florence County Sheriff's Office for participating in our Kick with a Cop event this school year!
Our students in 4K through 6th grade had the opportunity to play kickball with our local deputies, creating fun memories while building positive relationships with the officers who serve our community. These experiences help students see law enforcement as approachable role models and strengthen the connection between our school and community.
Thank you to the deputies who took time out of their busy schedules to run the bases, kick the ball, and share plenty of smiles and laughter with our students. We truly appreciate your commitment to making a difference in the lives of our Bobcats! ⚽💙🖤
