FHS Spanish students made it to Madrid, Spain. We enjoyed a short walking tour on the capital before visiting Toledo, Spain. Toledo is a medieval town known as the “City of 3 Cultures” for its Christian, Jewish and Muslim history. Before our return to Madrid for a paella dinner, we visited a sword factory. Such a beautiful day full with many new memories!

A huge thank you to the Florence County Sheriff's Office for participating in our Kick with a Cop event this school year!

Our students in 4K through 6th grade had the opportunity to play kickball with our local deputies, creating fun memories while building positive relationships with the officers who serve our community. These experiences help students see law enforcement as approachable role models and strengthen the connection between our school and community.

Thank you to the deputies who took time out of their busy schedules to run the bases, kick the ball, and share plenty of smiles and laughter with our students. We truly appreciate your commitment to making a difference in the lives of our Bobcats! ⚽💙🖤

🎉 Congratulations to Student Teacher Katlyn Hosking! 🎉

Florence Elementary would like to recognize and celebrate Katlyn Hosking for successfully completing her student teaching experience with our little Bobcats this spring!

Katlyn spent the first half of the second semester learning and growing alongside Mrs. Sara Wood in 2nd grade and finished her student teaching in Mrs. Kim Wille’s 1st grade classroom. Throughout her time at Florence Elementary, Katlyn demonstrated creativity, dedication, and a genuine passion for working with children.

Recently, Mrs. Wille and Mrs. Jochem had the opportunity to attend a celebration at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay honoring student teachers. We were thrilled to see Katlyn recognized as the "Imaginative Innovator" among her peers—an award that reflects the creativity, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas she brought to her classrooms each day.

We are proud of Katlyn’s accomplishments and grateful for the positive impact she had on our students and staff. We wish her all the best as she begins her teaching career and know she has a bright future ahead!

💚💛 Congratulations, Katlyn! Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat! 💛💚

Florence Elementary students had an exciting hands-on learning experience as they discovered how a hot air balloon works! Students watched the RE/MAX hot air balloon crew demonstrate how the balloon is inflated, learned how the burners create lift, and even stepped inside the giant balloon as it filled with air.

From exploring the science behind flight to seeing the balloon up close, our students were captivated by this unique opportunity. A huge thank you to the RE/MAX hot air balloon team for sharing their knowledge and giving our students an unforgettable experience!
