A colorful flyer titled “Family Check Up Information Dinner.” It shows an illustration of a family of four sitting at a dinner table. The event is on November 5th from 5:00–7:00 PM in the Elementary School Cafeteria. The flyer notes that a free family dinner and childcare are provided, and each family receives a $20 Kwik Trip gas card. teen driver safety Teen drivers account for only 16% of crashes in Florence County and only 14% of crashes statewide for 2024. This data is encouraging. However, teen drivers tend to take more risks when driving. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that car crashes are still the #1 cause of deaths amongst teens. Parents: talk with your children about safe driving habits, and model safe behaviors in your own driving. Teens: do your part to make Florence County roads safe by making good choices behind the wheel and minimize your chance of risk through safe driving practices. Congratulations to Logan McCoy and Brunell Honeycutt on their First Team All Conference Selection in the Northeast Division Scholastic Clay Target Program. In addition, Logan earned top shooter in the Intermediate Entry division and Brunell earned top shooter in the JV division. As a team, the Florence Dusters competed in the Varsity, JV, and Intermediate Entry Divisions earning 3rd Place in the Northeast JV Division.
