Florence Elementary students had an exciting hands-on learning experience as they discovered how a hot air balloon works! Students watched the RE/MAX hot air balloon crew demonstrate how the balloon is inflated, learned how the burners create lift, and even stepped inside the giant balloon as it filled with air.
From exploring the science behind flight to seeing the balloon up close, our students were captivated by this unique opportunity. A huge thank you to the RE/MAX hot air balloon team for sharing their knowledge and giving our students an unforgettable experience!

Each of these artists received the Outstanding Juror's Award at the middle school Northern Lakes Conference Art Show which was held in Laona. These students used the grid technique to enlarge their animal drawings to 4 times the size of their reference photo & completed their work in oil pastel. Way to go FMS artists!
