Winter will return soon to Northern Wisconsin.  Snow, ice, and low visibility can make winter travel unpredictable, so take it slow and plan ahead. Increase your following distance, brake gently to avoid skidding, and keep your headlights on even during the day.  Before heading out, make sure your tires have good tread, your wipers are winter ready, and your windows are completely cleared of snow and ice.  Don’t forget to pack an emergency kit with blankets, water, jumper cables, and a phone charger, just in case.  This message is brought to you by the Florence County Traffic Safety Commission, a collective of agencies from across the county working together to keep our roads safe!
