Florence Elementary School’s “Open House”
The Florence Elementary School will be having its annual “Open House” on Thursday,
August 29 th from 2:00 – 5:30 pm. Parents and children are invited to school to meet
teachers, see rooms, and sign forms. There will also be an opportunity to learn more
about community agencies and groups. The first day of school is Tuesday, September
3rd for all students.

As the school year draws to a close, and summer break beckons, the students of Florence Elementary are proving that distance doesn't diminish our sense of community. This week, our school celebrated an unforgettable end-of-year event symbolizing the strength and interconnectedness of our school family.
The tree house event was a resounding success, bringing together students, and staff. It wasn’t just about marking the end of another academic year but celebrating the bonds we’ve built and will continue to nurture, even when we're apart.
As we head into summer, it’s important to remember that our connections don’t end with the school year. Whether through playdates, family gatherings, or community events, the spirit of the School District of Florence County will continue to thrive. Please join the Florence County School District, Family and Friends on May, 20th by the High School Concession stand for the unveiling of a memorial plaque for Leigh Johnson. This will take place at 4:40 PM prior to the Bobcat's game against Wausaukee that starts at 5:00 PM. Leigh was an important part of Florence Baseball for many years.
