Florence Students had the opportunity to hear from Janice Farmer of Waukesha, WI, sharing a first-hand account of a tornado encountered by her family in the Niagara area in 1984. Her visit was part of students’ meteorology study & came just in time for Tornado Awareness Week.
Florence students visited the Washington Monument, the Capital, the Smithsonian of Natural History, WWII, FDR, Martin Luther King Jr, and Jefferson Memorials. They also got to see the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court buildings. They had a great first day!!

All students will receive a $40 gift card from the Shoe Dept. Middle & High School students will receive a $50 Wal-Mart gift card towards school supplies. Families with elementary children should come to St. Mary Catholic Church Parish Hall to pick up their backpack and school supplies on Monday, August 21st anytime between 4:30 – 5:30 pm

It is with deep regret at this time that we have been notified of the loss of one of our students. In order to provide students a place to gather and process this unfortunate event, School District Staff and various professionals will be available at the High School from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm on Monday, July 3rd.
Florence Elementary also received two autographed Mason Crosby footballs for their commitment to the Play 60 program.

Florence Elementary's Play 60 team worked hard to promote dairy and wellness this school year. As a reward, Florence was invited to participate in a special Fuel Up Day at Lambeau event in Green Bay on Wednesday, May 17th.
Activities for the day included a Hall of Fame tour, visiting the Pro-shop, and a football skills and drills event on Titletown Field with Packer staff and Packer safety Innis Gaines.

Colt Atwell was Top Gun in Northeast Red Division, 1st Place Team Shooter (team top gun), & 1st Place All-Conference in Intermediate/Entry Level class.

To celebrate the end of the school year, Florence Sheriff's office played "Kick with a Cop" with Florence K-6th grade students! It was a great way to end the school year and we wish everyone a great summer!
