There will be a send off for 3-time State Wrestling Qualifier Breyson Kelley at 9:45 am on Thursday, Feb. 26 in the High School Hallway. He will then be escorted down Central Avenue from East to West at 10:00 am. Please join us to wish him good luck either at the school, on Central Avenue, or both. Good luck at state Breyson!
Florence Elementary students jumped for joy & heart health today! So proud of their participation in Jump Rope for Heart, supporting the American Heart Association. Florence elementary school raised $2619.46 to support heart health. Thank you for your support. #GoFloCats

Florence SkillsUSA Students competed Friday at the SkillsUSA Regional @ Fox Valley Tech. They competed in Welding, Welding Sculpture & Technical Drafting. Our youngest SkillsUSA member Bentley brought home a Gold in MS Welding Sculpture with his Tractor sculpture. #GoFloCats

Matthew is a hardworking & respectful student who always contributes in class, stays on task, & takes on extra projects in the Fab Lab. After graduation, he’s headed to UW-Stevens Point to study Fisheries & Water Resources!
The 30th Great 8 Winter Games was held on Saturday, February 15th in Florence, Iron Mountain, Kingsford, Niagara, and Norway. The area 4th-8th grade students had the opportunity to participate in individual and team sports. It was a wonderful experience for our youth with memories that will last a lifetime.
I would like to thank the Florence County School District for its continued support as well as Christy Larson, superintendent. I would also like to thank the following area sponsor that has helped tremendously in offsetting the cost of providing this positive experience to the youth in our area and have helped make this annual event a huge success: Florence Elementary School PTO.
