The 30th Great 8 Winter Games was held on Saturday, February 15th in Florence, Iron Mountain, Kingsford, Niagara, and Norway. The area 4th-8th grade students had the opportunity to participate in individual and team sports. It was a wonderful experience for our youth with memories that will last a lifetime.
I would like to thank the Florence County School District for its continued support as well as Christy Larson, superintendent. I would also like to thank the following area sponsor that has helped tremendously in offsetting the cost of providing this positive experience to the youth in our area and have helped make this annual event a huge success: Florence Elementary School PTO.
