Parent Holiday Letter

Christmas Wreath

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It is already December, hard to believe. Again, I truly appreciate your patience and understanding through these difficult times. As Mr. Niehaus has stated in many letters, we will give a full force effort to keep our doors open for in person instruction within our logistical means and safety of our students, staff, and school families to do so. I completely understand the frustration that accompanies this, and your support has been greatly appreciated. Please do not hesitate to contact the Elementary office with any questions or concerns, as we will work with you to accommodate your individual needs as circumstances arise.

With a few weeks left before our Christmas holiday break, I just want to communicate with all of you regarding some activities that will be happening at the Elementary level.

*Mrs. Kellstrom will be having a virtual Christmas Concert. Each grade will be individually recorded over several days, and recording will take place in the classroom, outside, or in the gym. She will notify parents ahead of time in case you would like your child to be dressed up. She is hoping to have the final recorded program available by Friday, December 18th.

*Torpedo students from the Florence High School will be putting together individually bagged holiday craft projects for the students to do in their classrooms or at home.

*The UW Extension Nutrition Education Program is working on completing recordings of nutrition lessons for students to access at all grade levels. Teachers can utilize these instructional recordings in the classroom or post for students to access on their Google Classrooms.

*Just a reminder to make sure that students are dressed for the weather. As the snow falls, students will need snowpants, boots, winter jackets, hats, and mittens. Please contact the Elementary office if you need any assistance with these items. I plan on bringing out the snowshoes for the upper grade levels, and we will also have sleds and other fun outdoor activities for the winter.

Again, I appreciate your support! Please take care and stay healthy during this holiday season!

Sincerely,

Stacy Brock- Associate Elementary Principal
