Florence County to dedicate the new Middle/High School spaces



On Friday October 19 at 2:00pm, the School District of Florence County and the greater Florence County community will dedicate the new middle/high school addition and renovation.  Following a successful referendum, construction began on the 75,000-square foot renovation and 11,000-square-foot addition.  In August 2017 and was completed in August of 2018.  

The additions to and complete renovation of the historic 1930s building included infrastructure upgrades for the entire middle/high school building; secure main entrances in both buildings; renovation and modernization of the building, including the creation of a distance learning classroom,  the additon of an elevator and other accessibility improvements, classroom updates and widened corridors; The renovation of the STEAM ( science, technology, engineering, art and math) area; middle school classroom addition; and a kitchen addition.  Miron Contruction Co., Inc. served as the construction manager on the project, and Bray Architects designed the new and improved spaces.


The dedication ceremony will take place in the Florence County High School gynmasium, located at 425 Olive Ave., Florence.  Attached parking lot available.
