The 2018-2019 Boy’s Basketball season was a successful one. This year’s crew finished second in Northern Lakes Conference play with an 11-3 record and finished the season with a 16-6 overall record.  The season ended in the second round of WIAA tournament play on our home floor falling to Gibraltar – who was a very good team in their own right.  I felt the season was competitive and has the Bobcats heading in the right direction.  Our future is bright.  We have hard working, talented student athletes who are not afraid to work.  As the head coach of the program, it makes my job much easier and enjoyable when you have young adults who are not afraid of a little hard work.  This was my fifteenth-year coaching at Florence and my fourth as a head coach.  Basketball is something I have a strong passion for and it brings out a competitive side in.   Through the game of basketball, I’ve learned a great deal about life.  Handling your success and failures the same way after each game is key in your growth personally and professionally.  Another important aspect to the game is surrounding yourself with great people because ultimately in life, you win with people.  No one is successful alone.  I feel at Florence we have a lot of great people in our school, in our community and our team.  Continuing to build our program in a positive way is something I will keep at the fore front each day as I’m the head coach.  I cannot promise any student athlete playing time or a state ring. But what I can promise them that being apart of our program, they will have fun, learn the game of basketball, learn life lessons and they will work hard.  Should you have any questions or are interested in joining our team, do not hesitate to reach out to me:
